Tuesday Poem: Car troubles – for Raymond Carver.
Tuesday Poem: Car troubles – for Raymond Carver.
Thought you were barricading yourself in. Then saw it was a barricade of Love. ~LArry - dedicated to Fee & Jackie
*The things I took to heart as a kid , desperate for love and life*. ~LArry
Evidently, all I have ever fallen in Love with has turned out to be a lie. ~LArry - How very sad.
You're so beautiful
You're so beautiful
The Reasons You Are Beautiful
The Reasons You Are Beautiful
Be with me , inside me as one being as we |sit| inside each other in complete ecstasy, There are no words for that. ~LArry
~Help Me~ be me. ~LArry <3 -- Isn't that what we all want?
Poems of Hope and Resilience
The words of others can help to lift us up.
Poems of Hope and Resilience
The words of others can help to lift us up.
A heart of ashes, a soul worn thin,
A gaze that's seen the darkest sin,
A mind that echoes with the screams unheard,
A body scarred, each mark a word
Of battles fought in the abyss of night,
Where hope was lost and shadows bite.
A hollow laugh, a bitter smile,
A weary dance, a life on trial,
The world a blur, a distant dream,
Haunted by ghosts, a broken theme,
A thirst for peace, a yearning to be free,
From the chains of hell that bind and see.
Each step a struggle, each breath a fight,
A fragile shell, barely holding light,
The weight of sorrow, a heavy cloak,
A silent plea, a soul that broke,
Yet, in the cracks, a flicker remains,
A whisper of strength, that still sustains.
This poem captures the feeling of someone who has endured immense suffering, marked by a deep sense of exhaustion, emotional numbness, a lingering fear, but also a glimmer of resilience and a desire for healing.
Generative AI is experimental.
*The Furnaces are Re-Ignited* Thank You With Much Love ~LArry
My admiration for the person I adore, respect, love and worship!
My admiration for the person I adore, respect, love and worship!
To Paulina from Eirini's Lambertville NJ. What I think of you. ~LArry
A Shield of Steel, A Heart of Gold,
A woman stands, her voice so bold,
When shadows fall, and doubt takes hold,
She'll face the storm, a story told.
With eyes that gleam, a steady gaze,
She'll speak her truth in fearless ways,
No matter who…
Eyes A Glimpse Of The Soul Poem:
Her eyes, like two pools of liquid light,
Reflect the secrets of her soul so bright.
In their depths, a universe untold,
A narrative of emotions, beautifully scrolled.
With just a glance, I am hypnotized,
Lost in the depths of her beautiful eyes.
A kaleidoscope of feelings, colors unseen,
A glimpse of the soul, serene and keen.
In the silent language that her eyes unfold,
A tapestry of stories, beautifully told.
I navigate the constellations of her inner night,
Captivated by the soft glow of her soul’s light.
For in those orbs, an ethereal dance,
A symphony of emotions, a subtle trance.
I find myself in a sacred space,
Lost in the grace of her soul’s embrace.
Heart Broken so many times.
She showed up and did the best for someone so closed.
Sat on the couch pretending not to see.
Cooking and trying not to see.
Waiting. Looking as I went about not believing what I sought.
Silently opening the door not believing what I see.
Last her giving up.
Then a thought, let me see when all is sleep.
What he truly feels for me she thought.
So in the bed, silently she climbs.
Edging ever so carefully close next to me.
Waiting breathlessly to see what he truly felt for me.
Stirring he came to consciousness and a sharp breath he drew.
Then a gasp and a sigh and arm put around me.
Then I knew as he whispered, Please let me wake not from this to be. ~LArry
The closer she came, the more he would tremble, till she thought he would disassemble.
Leaving is best for him thought she, but was not, thought he.
In different times, one stayed and came close and closer still.
Stood she did so close, soul to soul. Then she saw all was he and what their love could be. ~LArry
I found another Love against all odds. She knows me and all my secrets and this time I did not keep anything secret. We know each other and we understand everything. We remain pure for each other even after a few years. Right person wrong time was just the introduction. <3 ~LArry
Old Love (Free Verse) Poem by Dawn Slanker
Old Love (Free Verse) Poem by Dawn Slanker
I was finally free to be with one to be. Gave every last minuscule of love I had left to thee who was. Left squandered and discarded, Knew I was free to give all my love to one who I want to be. ~LArry
Those whom I have met to date and have discarded me, you have also been discarded. Those who seek with fun, humility, emotion, and Love are always welcome.~LArry (Especially Fun) *snickers*
As I play this piece and another joins me. She goes slow on the beat by some measure, And we smile at each other. She catches back up to my current beat. Then I fall slow on the same beat and do the same. We then fall opposite, her slow, me fast, from that original beat. Then we flip opposites until the time we sync back up again on the same original beat and finish our song; together. ~LArry
