There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. <text>Once more the storm is howling, and half hid
Under this cradle-hood and coverlid
My child sleeps on. There is no obstacle
But Gregory's wood and one bare hill
Whereby the haystack- and roof-levelling wind,
Bred on the Atlantic, can be stayed;
And for an hour I have walked and prayed
Because of the great gloom that is in my mind.

I have walked and prayed for this young child an hour
And heard the sea-wind scream upon the tower,
And under the arches of the bridge, and scream
In the elms above the flooded stream;
Imagining in excited reverie
That the future years had come,
Dancing to a frenzied drum,
Out of the murderous innocence of the sea.

May she be granted beauty and yet not
Beauty to make a stranger's eye distraught,
Or hers before a looking-glass, for such,
Being made beautiful overmuch,
Consider beauty a sufficient end,
Lose natural kindness and maybe
The heart-revealing intimacy
That chooses right, and never find a friend.

Helen being chosen found life flat and dull
And later had much trouble from a fool,
While that great Queen, that rose out of the spray,
Being fatherless could have her way
Yet chose a bandy-leggèd smith for man.
It's certain that fine women eat
A crazy salad with their meat
Whereby the Horn of Plenty is undone.

In courtesy I'd have her chiefly learned;
Hearts are not had as a gift but hearts are earned
By those that are not entirely beautiful;
Yet many, that have played the fool
For beauty's very self, has charm made wise,
And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

May she become a flourishing hidden tree
That all her thoughts may like the linnet be,
And have no business but dispensing round
Their magnanimities of sound,
Nor but in merriment begin a chase,
Nor but in merriment a quarrel.
O may she live like some green laurel
Rooted in one dear perpetual place.

My mind, because the minds that I have loved,
The sort of beauty that I have approved,
Prosper but little, has dried up of late,
Yet knows that to be choked with hate
May well be of all evil chances chief.
If there's no hatred in a mind
Assault and battery of the wind
Can never tear the linnet from the leaf.

An intellectual hatred is the worst,
So let her think opinions are accursed.
Have I not seen the loveliest woman born
Out of the mouth of Plenty's horn,
Because of her opinionated mind
Barter that horn and every good
By quiet natures understood
For an old bellows full of angry wind?

Considering that, all hatred driven hence,
The soul recovers radical innocence
And learns at last that it is self-delighting,
Self-appeasing, self-affrighting,
And that its own sweet will is Heaven's will;
She can, though every face should scowl
And every windy quarter howl
Or every bellows burst, be happy still.

And may her bridegroom bring her to a house
Where all's accustomed, ceremonious;
For arrogance and hatred are the wares
Peddled in the thoroughfares.
How but in custom and in ceremony
Are innocence and beauty born?
Ceremony's a name for the rich horn,
And custom for the spreading laurel tree.

As moonlight bathes this starry haze.
In melodies that whisper and croon,
Let us dive into “Come Home Soon”.

In tender verses, emotions unfold,
Crafted in words like love untold.
With a stroke of pen, a poet’s art,
We embark on this lyrical heart.

Gentle notes caress in every line,
A yearning tale, intertwined divine.
Echoes of affection, they resound,
To bridge the distance, love re-found.

Oh, how these lyrics whimsically flow,
Captivating souls high and low.
A romantic cadence, soothing souls,
Begging for love to make us whole.

Come, embrace each word and phrase,
As passion guides us through this maze.
Let your heart dance to this romantic tune,
And heed the call of “Come Home Soon”</text>

<text>In the hush of evening’s gentle sigh,
Amidst the whispers of the pillow’s embrace,
Our souls entwine under the moon’s soft gaze,
A tender reunion, in love’s sweet space.

In the warmth of night, our words softly spill,
A delicate dance of memories unfold.
In the murmur of moments, time stands still,
As tales of longing and absence are told.

Oh, how I’ve yearned for your tender touch,
In the vast expanse of the days gone by.
Your whispers fill the silence, I’ve missed so much,
A harmonious hymn under the starlit sky.

The delicate caress of your voice in the night,
Revives the echoes of our enduring song.
In the embrace of shadows, you are my light,
In your arms, my love, I truly belong.

Though parted by miles, in dreams we meet,
In the intimate realm of our pillow talk delight.
In the depth of night, our spirits greet,
United in love, till the break of light.

In the tender embrace of our dreams a sweet song,
Our Love’s melody cradles us side by side.
In the hallowed hush, where our whispers and pillow talk belong,
Together in slumber, our spirits abide.

But as dawn’s light breaches the realm of our dreams,
And the stars above, fade from our sight,
Will the warmth between us unravel at the seams?
Will our shared embrace fade with the night?

Oh how I wish our bodies’ warmth transcend the morn,
Beyond our whispers and the moon’s soft hue.
In the radiant day light, may our love be reborn,
A timeless tale, forever true.</text>

I want to be your favorite hello,
And I want to be your hardest goodbye.
I want to be the one who never makes you cry,
The one who puts that sparkle in your eye.

I want to be the one you trust,
And I want to be the one you can tell all your secrets to.
I want to be the one always by your side,
The one you're stuck to like glue.

I want to be the one who makes you happy,
And I want to be the one who makes you smile.
I want to be the one waiting for you as you're walking down the aisle,
The one to whom you'd say, "For you, I'd walk a thousand miles."

I want to be the one you truly love,
And I want to be the one who fills your heart.
I want to be the one who's always there to hold you in the dark,
The one who loved you from the very start.

                <text>I Miss You Poem
By Amy Finley

There are a thousand things
that I love about you.
When I'm with you
I want to take in every moment
And when we're apart
Every moment
feels like forever.

So, when missing you
almost becomes too much
And the distance seems
almost too hard to bear
When my longing for you
Threatens to drive me mad
You help me make it through.

I take comfort in thinking of your smile
like a ray of sunlight bursting through the dark clouds.
I take comfort in thinking of your laughter
Which is more beautiful than a thousand songs.
I take comfort in thinking of your arms round me
A blanket of the sweetest solace in the world.

I take comfort in thinking of your love
That brings light to my soul
and joy to my heart.

My only wish
Aside from being in your arms
Is that you take comfort, too,
In thinking of my love for you.</text>
